The FAQ section in the backend is home to all of the FAQ entries. The title of each entry is the Question and the Answer is the body text. Each entry is associated with one of the following four categories.
- Enrichment and Socialization
- Price and Policies
- Puppy Preparation
- Your Dog Breed 101 (e.g. Labradoodle 101)
The category applied to each entry determines on which page the FAQ will present.
- Enrichment and Socialization → yoursite.com/about/socialization
- Price and Policies → yoursite.com/price-policies
- Puppy Preparation → yoursite.com/resources/prepare-for-puppy
- Labradoodle 101 → yoursite.com/about/about-labradoodles
Filter Entries by Category
To only see entries from one category, click on the category of your choice.
Add a New FAQ Entry
To add a new FAQ entry, click on one of two “Add New” options.
When the “Add New FAQ” page opens up,
- add the question in the “Add title” field.
- add the answer in the body text field.
- select the category.
- click on “Publish”.
Heading Hierarchy Matters. Though the WordPress text editor gives you the option of using “Heading 1,” you should NOT. Well structured web copy is hierarchical. There should only be one Heading 1, and that is your page title. To learn more about implementing effective typographic hierarchy, check out Yoast’s How to use headings on your site.
Editing FAQs
Hover over an entry to see the submenu, which includes the following options: Edit | Quick Edit | Trash.
Edit
Clicking “Edit” will open a page where you can edit the Question (page title) and the Answer (body text). When you’re done editing, make sure you click on the “Update” button!

Quick Edit
Clicking “Quick Edit” will keep you on the same page and open a form enabling you to modify several page details, such as title, date, password, categories, and status.
Trash
By clicking “Trash” you’ll move the entry to the trash.
